Is There an I In Team?

They say there is no “I” in team.

Well, I don’t know about that.

The way I see it is that there are many “I’s” in team and they all have a pretty big responsibility.

As we’ve talked about before, the power of team is undeniable.  Aligning yourself with highly motivated, successful people will immediately accelerate your potential for achieving every goal you set for yourself.  It will also raise your expectations up to a level you never thought possible.

If you pick the right team members, they will believe in you and overwhelm you with positivity.  You’ll have no other course of action but to succeed.

The “I” Comes With Great Responsibility

But you have to be very careful.  Being an “I” on a team comes with great responsibility.

You will be held accountable.

Many of you have never been held to task and this will come as a great shock.  They say a chain is only as strong as the weakest link, so too is the power of every “I” in the team.

You’ll have to do what you say you’re going to do.

You also have to execute on every goal you set for yourself.

You have to put jealously aside and finally realize to get what you want, you’ll have to work for it.  Stop acting like a child and start acting like a man.

You will be asked to be there and be strong for every team member when it is their turn to be weak. And they will be there for you when you need help. It is a back and forth that requires day in and day out consistency. You will have to ‘show up’ and work to make the team better every day without fail.

If the team is good and the bond is tight, they will be keeping track of all of these things.  So you better be ready to answer for yourself.

Can You Handle It?

If you can, then you will be following in the footsteps of every great leader, of the wealthiest and most successful people in the world – because they did not get to where they are today without a strong team surrounding them.

Time to build your team and do the work. Find those people who believe in you and who need you to believe in them. Together, you will become unstoppable.

I dare you.

Smitty

Excellent point!! I have always said, “there is no ‘I’ in team but there is ‘ME’.” As you say there is responsibility in that.
